DiGiovanni Family , This is very belated ; but , just came to my attention of Sam's passing . I had the pleasure of knowing him through Indiana State University and his receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award and through our visits in Orlando . I thought of Sam when I saw the news of the passing of Arnold Palmer . I had the pleasure of attending the Bay Hill Classic as Sam's guest , visiting the Arnie's corporate tent and meeting Arnie . I know he and Sam had a personal relationship .
Sam also shared stories with me how he , Bill Sacolaros , Frank Schrohe and 3 other friends came from Chicago Heights to Indiana State Teachers College , joined TKE Fraternity and began his career in accountancy .
Sam was a really good man ! Your family and many others will forever hold him in the highest esteem .
Best wishes,
John Newton

May time replace the ache of sorrow with the warmth of fond memories. I have so many fond memories while working at AA&Co. with Sam. He used to give me his box seat tickets for the Lyric Opera when he was not able to attend. That meant so much to my husband and I as we also loved opera. He always treated all of the employees with utmost respect. He definitely was my favorite partner and friend.

A quote by Helen Keller:
"What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose.
All that we love deeply becomes part of us."

To the family of Sam DiGiovanni,
My deepest sympathy to all of you in the loss of your father, grandfather, etc. He was a great & very kind man. Sam was my late husband's first boss at Arthur Andersen; Clinton L. Kinney, starting in June, 1961. Their relationship was not just work; over the years it was a true friendship. One of my and Clint's fondest memories was time spent at Bay Hill and playing golf. Sam introduced us to Arnold Palmer; a thrill of a lifetime. And we shared many wonderful times together at "dinners & other outings" at A. Andersen. When we joined OFCC, great times were spent together playing golf & socializing. After Clint passed away in 1993 Sam still kept in touch with me & I am forever grateful. My first thought this morning after I read the death notice was that now my husband has someone to "talk" about OFCC and the "old" times at Arthur Andersen. My thoughts and prayers as well as the rest of my family are with all of you at this very sad time.
