Memories and Condolences
for Ryan Moravcik

Not sure what to say?

Fr. Giles Gilbert, OFM Conv.

November 30, 2018

This morning I happened to connect with a friend of mine who is a parishioner at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Naperville and she mentioned the Moravcik family. I told her that I was a friend of Ryan's when we were both students at NIU in DeKalb, IL. Realizing I have been praying for him and his family for many years now but had never signed this guest book, I wanted to assure his family and friends of my prayers for the repose of his soul and for their consolation. I remember him in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, especially on the anniversary of his death. May the Lord give rest to him in a place of brightness, a place of refreshment, a place of repose, where all sickness, sorrow, and sighing have fled away, where, I too, hope to see him again one day.

We can't know why

some things happen...

but we can know

that love

and beautiful memories

outlast the pain of grief.

And we can know

that there's a place

inside the heart

where love lives always...

and where nothing beautiful

can ever be forgotten.

If I've learned

anything down through

the years,

it's that nothing beautiful

in this world

is ever really lost.

Those we cherish will always live on in memory.

With Sympathy,

Uncle Felix, Patty and the Kids

No one knows why this happened.

No one knows how this could have happen.

The only thing that we can believe is, Ryan is now free from whatever struggle, and with his maker.

He put so much meaning to the dash that was between his birthdate and his deathdate. One can only wish to give to others as much as Ryan did.

Strength, Hope and ONE DAY AT A TIME is what I pray for you, Luci, Jim, Amy, Roy, Lillian and Stella.

To Ryan's Family,

My family and I wish to send our deepest condolescences to you in your time of sorrow. I am a fellow classmate of Ryan's at Northern Illinois University. I was heartbroken to learn of his sudden and untimely death. Though I only knew hime for a short while he had a great smile, and I will miss not seeing him when school starts up in two weeks. My father grew up in Naperville and attended the same church as a boy that Ryan's Service will be at. I will make sure to say a prayer for you. when I visit my grandfather at the same cemetary I will make sure to stop and say "Hello" to Ryan to. Again, my deepest sympathies go out to you.

I used to talk to Ryan's grandma, Lillian whenever she sat outside on her front step. And she would talk about how wonderful her grandchildren, Amy & Ryan were. I saw Ryan a few times over the years and he was always so friendly & smiley! I couldn't believe how much he had grown up over the 4 yrs I've been a part of that neighborhood. He was a very handsome young man! My sympathy goes out to all those who loved & knew him. God Bless.
