Gale, I just heard about Skip. I am shocked and heartbroken. Some of my fondest memories are of times we spent together. I had to have said hundreds of times "I should call Skip" but to my regret I never did. I will miss him profoundly.

Gale, you know how sorry I am for your loss. I know your heart is still aching with each thought of Skip, but each day it will become easier to smile rather than cry when you think of him. Remember all the good days and years you had together, tuck them in a small corner of your heart then bring them out when you get lonly or depressed. Skipper would rather look down on you from Heaven and see that beautiful smile rather than one tear from your eye. When you married Skip, you became my neice. This hasn't changed with his passing. Once in the Winters family your stuck there for life. My door will always be open to you. I love you....

Gale, Although I have never met you I want to express my condolences to you. I grew up on Cullom Ave and certainly remember Skip. He sometimes ran around with my sister Cindy, Cathy and my brother Chuck and while I was a few years younger, skip was always cool to me. He played a pretty mean game of softball as well! It has been more than 25 years since I last saw him but he and the rest of the original cast from that time had and will always be remembered. May the pain of your loss subside and the happy memories overwhelm you.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I have such fond memories of skipper and his group of friends which included my sister Susan. He was always kind and always looking out for me. I take comfort in knowing this is still the case, somewhere he is still watching over us. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Dear Gale, We were lucky to have met you and Skip while living on Summerdale. Thinking back on the impression Skip made on us was that of such character, humor, kindness, appreciation of music, and love for you (and Casper). Gale, we deeply hurt for you in this time of tremendous mourning.
We love you. Sincerely, Meaghan and Carl Smith

Gale, Even though I didn't see much of Skip the last 20 years the world was just a better place knowing he was around. Here's a picture of Skip from my wedding 7-3-1983. That would have made him 24-25 I guess.
Love,
Rob

Gale,
I have never had the pleasure of meeting you but I wanted to extend my deepest sympathies. We all grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same school, knew the same people...I am completely shocked at his untimely death. May God bless you and give you peace.
Truly,
Sandy Kleinhans (Steve's sister)

Gale: I'm sure you know how much we loved and will miss Skip. The only comforting words I can think
of are, I know Michael was there to take him home.
