Eller, Rudolf "Rudy" age 83, of Highland, passed away December 14, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Blossom (nee Blessman); children, Chris (Gustavo) Esparza of Chicago, Sandy (Charles) Englehart of Portage, Rudy (LeAnne) Eller of California and Cindy Mueller of Dyer; grandchildren, Ralph, Charity, Hope, Faith, Emily, Benjamin, Katherine, Bethany, Joshua, Nicole, Jonathan, Kevin, Kimberly and Marie. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elisabeth Eller; and son-in-law, Greg Mueller. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2006, at 11:30 a.m., at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland, Indiana, with Rev. Arthur Burkman, officiating. Interment at Concordia Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, December 17, 2006, from 3 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Rudy was born in Bochum, Germany. He graduated from Bowan High School in Chicago and retired from Amoco Oil in 1980. Rudy was a veteran of the US Army and served in World War II. He was a member of the 134th AA Anti Aircraft Battalion. He was also a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Highland.

I sure liked very much Mr Elmer. He us the only man/father who gave me the time of day to stop what he was doing yard work to talk to me like a beautiful civil person, bless His soul.
