Ruby Pinkney-Konopka Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruby Jean Pinkney-Konopka, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, colleague and friend, who left this world peacefully on August 7, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer and paraneoplastic syndrome (PNS). She was 78 years old.
A memorial to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11AM at The Moody Church, 1635 N La Salle Dr, Chicago, IL 60614, 312-327-8600. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Autoimmune Association(autoimmune.org) and/or American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org).

I met Ruby and her daughter Crystal thru the Moody Church. They became friends almost immediately and we shared laughs, stories, meals and more.
I know I will see her again in the presence of Jesus. Thanks for the times we had to share.
