Hey there Granddaddy!

I think about you every day...I miss you so much Granddaddy...I thought it would get easier but it doesn't...I just want to see you and talk to you and give you a kiss on your cheek like I always did.

Guess what I am doing...teaching 12th graders! Can you believe that? I look like a 12th grader myself, so some of the kids look at me like I'm crazy.

I just wanted to say hi and I love you and I miss you and I can't wait to see you again.

Love,
Katie

Daddy,

Wow, it's hard to believe that Friday was yours and moms 50th anniversay. I wish you were, we would have had a big party. You know that means Joyce will be turning "50" this year, the baby is getting old!
Daddy, we have been having a time keeping the flowers on your grave, the wind keeps blowing them away but, fortunately someone keeps finding them and bringing them back. They look so pretty we would hate to lose them. The first ones we put there Katie made the arrangement, she did a really good job.

You know Daddy, you never know how much you will miss someone until they are gone, I realize this more every day. You are missed by so many people. We have always known how special you are even if everyone else didn't. You raised three daughters and loved us all the same, we could not have asked for a better dad. It's no wonder we love and miss you so very much. Thank you for being you.
Love you,

Donna

Hi Daddy,

Just wanted to let you know how much you were missed on Christmas. Although everyone is happy and healthy and for this, we are very thankful, it just wasn't the same without you. We missed your smile and your excitedness over opening your presents. We know you're in good hands though and hope you know how much we love and miss you.

I'm sure you know what Mama did for Donna, Joyce, and I. It was very special and it was like receiving a heartfelt gift from both of you.

Love you, Daddy - rest in peace.

Hi Daddy,
Well, another holiday has come and gone, and you are missed more than ever. We missed shopping for you, because you always appreciated whatever ideas we came up with, but most of all I missed sitting beside you on the couch and talking. You would make everyone smile with your stories no matter how many times we heard them. Other than the smile you always greeted us with, I think I miss your stories and the way you would laugh when you were telling them more than anything. Daddy, mama took the ring you gave her and made Bonnie, Joyce and I the most beautiful necklace for Christmas. It will always be special because it is part of you. I hope you had a good Christmas and will have a Happy New Year! You are missed so much.
Love you, daddy.

Hey Daddy,

Well, Thanksgiving wasn't the same without you. We all look forward to your birthday, hoping one time you will scratch a ticket and hit the "big one". Can't believe you turned "80" you are so much younger than that. Yes, we were out and about shopping with all the crazy people, that didn't even seem the same. There is such an empty space in our lives without you. Daddy, you had another family member join you, don't know if you've seen her or not, but Easter, Joyce's dog passed, like you she is in a much better place, she had been sick for a good while. Hey, keep everyone laughing up there, will write again soon.
Daddy, I love and miss you so much!

Love,
Donna Lee

Hi Daddy,

We missed you so much on Thanksgiving and on your birthday. Not getting to share these days with you (for the first time) was very difficult. I know you were there with us, but it just wasn't the same. I'm sure Christmas will be very sad too without you there opening your presents and scratching your favorite tickets!

The Memorial Service yesterday was very nice.

We love and miss you, Daddy. Rest in Peace.

Love,

Bonnie

Hey Daddy,

I would like to ask a favor. Today is "1" year since Tina (Brian's wife) passed. I'm sure the two of you see each other and talk about everything. Daddy, please give Tina a Big Hug and let her know that we miss her. And as she hugs you back please know that we really miss you too.
Well, it's almost birthday time for you. We will still get together at Joyce's for Thanksgiving, but it won't be the same without you. Be listening, we will sing to you!
Daddy, I love and miss you very much.
Love,

Donna

Hey Daddy,

Well, another month has gone by and it still seem's strange coming to the house and you aren't sitting there to wave at us. We think about you all the time and laugh at all the funny games and stories you would come up with. How lucky we are to have had such a wonderful, crazy dad. Maybe one day we can all play "high-low" again. I'll look forward to that. Try and stay out of trouble and keep that smile on your face, it makes everyone wonder what you're up to. I love you daddy, will write again soon.

Love Always,
Donna Lee

Hey Granddaddy! I just wanted to say hi! I miss you so much...some days are better than others, but not a day goes by where I don't wish I could sit and talk to you. I hope you're having fun up there with your brothers...I can't wait to see you again. I love you Granddaddy...stay out of trouble!

Hi Daddy,

It sure does seem like you have been gone longer than 3 months, we miss you so much. I would give anything if we could turn back time and spend more of it with you. We were so lucky to have such a wonderful dad, you must have been picked just for us.

Well, school has started back, the little ones seem excited, Canyon started kindergarden, no telling what he might do or say!!

We are getting ready for vacation, next week, hopefully we won't get hit by all the hurricanes out there, we'll have fun anyway.

Daddy, I know you are in a better place and you must be feeling better, that makes me happy. Rest in peace.

Love you,

Donna Lee

Hi Daddy,

It's been 3 months today since you left us, but it seems like so much longer! We miss you so much and think of you every single day. The house is just not the same without you being there.

Everyone is doing well and as usual, staying busy. Guess we need to slow down a bit because life is too short not to enjoy it more.

Daddy, we know you're in good hands. Rest in peace.

Love always,

Bonnie

Hey Daddy,

Just want to make sure that you will always know how much you are missed. Canyon and Athena ask about you all the time. Canyon wanted to know if he could have your bed since you didn't need it anymore. He has got such an awesome sense of humor, I wish you were still here, ya'll would really enjoy talking with each other.
Daddy, I love you and miss you.

Hey Granddaddy! I miss you so much...I wish what Canyon said was true and we could just give you a shot and make you all better, but I know you're having a blast up there and you're chatting with some people you haven't seen in a long time. I miss you more and more everyday and it's really starting to sink in. But I know you're feeling so much better now so that makes me feel better.

OH! DID YOU SEE TIGER WIN?! It was awesome! I'm so jealous, you had great seats!

Love you love you love you.

Daddy,
Father's Day was so sad without you, but I hope you have always known how much we love you and how boring our life would have been without you. You have always known how to make everyone laugh and feel special, maybe that's why God brought you to Heaven.
Daddy I love and miss you every day, life won't be the same without you.

Daddy,
Yesterday was Father's Day and it was so very sad not having you here with us. We were very fortunate to share as many as we have and our memories will live on forever.

Nothing is the same without you, but we know you're in a much better place and that you are no longer in pain. For this, we are very thankful.

We are looking out for Mama like you would want us to and she is doing o.k.

Daddy, I love you and a day won't pass without us thinking of and missing you.

You are the best dad ever, I feel so fortunate to have had you for our own. I will miss you so much but, I can be happy knowing that you will never be in pain again. I knew Roy from The Berkshire Apartments. I always enjoyed talking to him. I would see him in the lobby or in his car waiting for someone he was going to drive someplace. He was such a friendly, kind man, always offering to drive people to the grocery store, to their doctor's appointments or wherever they needed to go. After we chatted he would frequently say to me "you're my hero". And I'd say "you're my hero too, Roy". I will miss Roy; things just won't be the same without him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Hey Granddaddy...Yesterday it was 100 degrees, I know you would have loved it! I hope you're having fun with your brothers...I know you missed them. Don't get in too much trouble up there! Now you get to eat millions of cookies and all the ice cream you can think of...I'm jealous! Well I love you and I miss you so so so much but I know you're watching over me and the rest of us...especially when we're spending too much money!

Love you!
