To the most beautiful woman I know, my wife and best friend Rose. She lost a long battle with cancer April 19 2014. During this time I have learned so much more about her then the 30 years we were married. Her ability to relate to people showed how caring, understanding and compassionate she was. She made friends with everyone she would meet. Each passing day I would hear her concerns about everyone else, her not realizing what she was going through. Maybe it was to take her mind off her own illness. She fought and battled to the very end with help from many family and friends. Words cannot express the loss of her kindness and generosity. The emptiness we all feel in our hearts, the loneliness of her not being around. I will love you forever, may you find peace and happiness in heaven. Please watch over us and keep us safe, love you always Dave

Mom,

You are the strongest, most fun loving, caring woman I have ever met. You were an inspiration to everyone that was lucky enough to interact with you. You were always there for me and supported me anyway you could. You never missed any of my games and never complained about driving me everywhere. I will miss seeing you in the stands during my alumni game, however I know you will still be watching.

Not only did you take care of our family you took care of everyone around you, always caring about everyone else first and yourself last.

I will mostly miss the family holidays, birthday dinners, and anytime we talked on the phone.

I will live on knowing you are apart of me and if I ever want to see you I just need to look in the mirror. The best gift you ever gave me is me being exactly like you in every way possible.

I miss you so much! I will always love you and you will never be forgotten!

Aunt Rose
You will always be remembered as such a beautiful and strong woman who put up a great fight! I'm so glad we got to spend so much time together on family vacations, trips to Michigan, and family gatherings. Things will never be the same without you there, but we know you will be there in spirit with us. I'm sure you're up there watching over everyone who has crossed your path in life because that's the type of person you were. You always wanted everyone happy and always made sure whoever it was felt comfortable. I'll never forget you Aunt Rose and you will forever be in my heart. I love and miss you!

Aunt Rose, you were one of the strongest, most genuine, caring person that I am so thankful to have had in my life and will continue to have as a guardian angel. You were taken way too soon but put up such a strong fight and touched so many lives along the way. I have so many memories that will last with me forever & I know you are up in heaven smiling down on all of us. I love and miss you Aunt Rose.

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.

Rose I will always remember the fun times we had when we were younger going on vacation. I miss talking to you - and telling you I had to get back to work - but you would always have one more thing to ask me. I am sure you have gotten around to telling all the angels in heaven about our whole family. I miss you - and you will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Love you.

You will always be remembered In our hearts as "Aunt Rosie" because Adam said that was your name since he was old enough to talk. Your heart was made of kindness, love , and caring for others. You were more like a sister to me - and I will always have a special place for you in my heart,

And I love, love, love, you
And I love, love, love, you
I love you every day, Rose
I love you every night, Rose
And I love you, love you, love you, love you, love you all the time, Rose

Aunt Rose, I will miss you very much. You were such a wonderful godmother to me. I still have my sixteen Precious Moments dolls that you gave me each birthday. You were always excited to hear how I was doing in school and what was new, which meant so much to me. Even when you had every reason to be worried about yourself, you always took the time to catch up with everyone. I have fond memories of many holidays and family parties spent together. I love you.

Rose, I don't know what I am going to do without you. We shared many of the same things in our personal lives. You were there at the hardest time in my life, calling me every day just to see how I was doing and making sure I ate something, even if it was a cracker, helping me get through the day. I wouldn't have made it through that time without you. I owe you my life. But that shouldn't surprise anyone who knew you. You were there for everyone, putting them before yourself even in your darkest time. I hope I can be half the person you were to other people for the rest of my life, so you can smile down on me with pride that you made a difference in my life. Please watch over Sarah, Julia, and me, pointing us in the right direction. For you were my angel and now you're an angel for so many more. I think of you every day. Please save a place for me at your table. See you later. Love Always, Your brother, Joe.

Aunt Rose,
I miss you so much and think about you all the time. It's gonna be difficult not seeing you on holidays or just hearing your voice. It's always hard to say good bye, but I never thought this goodbye would come so quickly. I know you're safe and out of pain, sitting at the right hand of the Father talking someone's ear off and making sure they have everything they need. You have had the biggest impact on me, but not just me, every person you met. You were nothing but kind, caring, and generous. No matter what happened, you were looking out for everyone even during your darkest times. We all know you're looking down over us, watching and protecting us. Our guardian angel. I'll see you again some day. I love you, Aunt Rose.

Aunt Rose you truly will be missed. As much as I hate the name "Jessie," you have been the only person that has been able to call me this and I will miss hearing you say it. I will miss what were suppose to be 2 minute phone calls but turned into 20 minutes and you saying "just one more thing." You are the most kind and caring person I have ever known. You would always drop everything to do anything for your family. Your kindness, generosity, and love will never be forgotten! You will never be forgotten! Rest in peace Aunt Rose.

My thoughts and prayers to the family during this difficult time. Rose certainly was a friend to all. So very sorry.

John Kenny

April 29, 2014

Hi my name is John or Johnny as my sister Rose called me. I am here to help celebrate her incredible life.

Rose was always somewhat of a mythical person to me growing up. I didn't get to know her very well until she was going through some relationship stuff in her mid-twenties. As I got to know her I realized that she had the same concerns, fears, and worries that most people have. We become friends.

I remembering telling Dave the night of their wedding to take really good care of her because she had been through a lot and boy did he ever. They loved and cared greatly for one another.

I remember over twenty years ago when I was moving to Washington state to go to school Rose was there with Danny in her arms and tears in her eyes to send me on my way. Wishing me the very best.

In January of 2004, when I had my own personal tragedy Rose, Diane, mom and dad flew to Washington to be there in our time of need. It is something I will never forget.

It is my great fortune and privilege to have you as my sister and my friend. You are the most courageous person I have ever met and are truly my hero.

You lived your life with great caring and compassion for so many. You truly took an interest in everyone that crossed your path. Our lives are so much richer because we knew you. Your impact on so many life's will be felt for many years to come.

Some say it is not how you die but how you live your life. You lived and died with a smile on your face. You loved life and all of the interesting people along the way.

I believe if Rose could leave us with anything she would tell us to love and care for one another. We need each other to make this world a better place.

Rose, you will never be forgotten. We will always love you. You are our Earth Angel.

Peace and love to all,
John(Roses brother)

To Rose's family, we are so sorry to hear of Rose's passing. She was always a very sweet kind hearted person who loved her family very much. You saw this in her action toward her siblings and parents. Prayers are there for the family during this time and even though it is hard know she is at peace.

Rose had my heart the day we met in the middle of the block as little kids and she asked me, "Wanna play?"

In friendships, there are certain dynamics--and I always felt protective of Rose. She could absolutely stick up for herself, that wasn't the question, but she had an inherent sweetness of being and kindness of heart that made her vulnerable. Now, it's nice to know that Rose is up there in heaven being protective of me, and will maybe even bargain with Saint Peter a bit if I somehow get into too much trouble!

Knowing Rose is up there with my Mom and Dad also gives me great comfort because she was a second daughter to them. They're showing her around and having a great time, I can just feel it.

Rose was better than me in so, so many ways, and my first prayer to her was for the strength to strive to be the kind of person she was.

Friends are the family we choose. I chose Rose and she chose me. How lucky we were.

I'm going to close with a lovely poem that her lovely niece Laura found after she died and gave to me. It speaks to the meaning of friends, the family we choose in life.

Friends

Out of all the gifts God sends
One of the best is true friends
Friends who never let us down
Or look at our faults with a frown
And who share our good times
And sad times with us from day to day
Friends who kneel with us to pray
And help us when we go astray
Friends who live miles apart
But will always be in our hearts
Make new friends but keep the old
For they are more precious than gold

Aunt Rose, you will always be remembered as one of the strongest people I know. You fought the most difficult battle with all your might. I will always remember how you knew everything about everyone, and often remembered more about my schedule then I did. One of our last conversations was about how happy you were that you lived these last few years of your life to the fullest! Doing things like vacationing, zip-lineing and going 50mph on a jet ski! I will always admire you will, strength and generosity to all. I will miss you with all my heart. Your memory will live on forever through us all. I love you Aunt Rose!
