Son of the late William and Jeri Merel and son-in-law of the late Max and Hannah Teichman. Beloved husband of Hedy, nee Teichman of 54 years. Loving father of Jonathan (Stacy), Jaime (Brett). Proud Papa of Taylor, Brody, Blake & Dylan. Dear brother of Richard (Sherri) & Robert and brother-in-law to Marty, Debbie, Craig, Marcia. Adored Uncle of Jason, Andrew, Brian, Adam, Keith, Codi, Michael, Alison, Jackie & Brian. Life of the party and cherished friend to anyone he met. Distinguished member of the Illinois Bar and life-long White Sox fan. ServiceThursday, November 6, 2025, 12 PM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie.
