Kraus, Ronald J. Born on a "date which will live in infamy" December 7, 1941. At rest May 27, 2013 at his home. Loving husband of Connie (nee Economakos) for 40 years; beloved dad and card playing buddy of Andrew and Marlena; dear brother-in-law of Ruth Kraus, Michelle Walsh, and Jack Walsh. Survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marcella Kraus; brothers, Robert (Stella) Kraus, James Kraus; sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Campbell, Marjorie (Edward) Slanina; nieces, Roberta Bline, Deborah Leach; and nephews, Karl and Michael Kraus. Visitation Thursday 2:00PM until time of service 6:00 PM at Lawn Funeral Home 7732 W. 159th St. Orland Park, IL. Interment family lot. Ron taught for many years at St. Mary's school in Riverdale, Navajo Heights in Palos Heights, St. Benedict in Blue Island, and was Co-owner of Garden Gate Foods in Burbank. Ron attended elementary school at St. Gabriel Parish. Graduate of Quigley 1961. He earned his B.A. in Philosophy at St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein and his Masters in administration at Loyola University.
