Ronald Greenspon Obituary

Greenspon, Ronald E.

Ronald E. "Ron" Greenspon, age 82, of Glencoe, IL, found peace on March 10, 2025. Ron was a shining light for everyone who knew him and was known for his sense of humor, negotiating acumen, his math skills, and his generosity. Ron is survived by his adoring wife of nearly 60 years, Alisha, (nee Plotkin); loving father of Dr. Pam (Dr. Jeff Ng) and Steve (Catherine); proud grandfather of Ryan, Caitlin and Milo; devoted son of the late Leonard and the late Marcella; dear brother, cousin, friend and mentor to a limitless number of individuals. Ron's professional career included founding and running Park Heating and Air Conditioning Supply Company as well as co-founding LDR Industries. He also led the company founded by his father, G&S Supply Company. Ron loved his Northwestern Wildcats from which he was an alumnus of their business school. Ron enjoyed traveling with family and friends and estimated that he visited well over 100 countries in his life. He was also a fan of all Chicago sports teams and many of Chicago's cultural institutions, including the Lyric Opera, the ballet, Chicago Symphony, the Chicago Botanic Garden and many others. Ron's kindness and mentorship positively influenced many people in helping them achieve their own success.

Ron's Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, March 13th, 1:00 p.m. at Congregation Sukkat Shalom, 1001 Central Ave, Wilmette. Immediately following the service, the family will be receiving condolences at Sukkat Shalom until 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org or to a charity of your choice. Ron owned Park Supply - i began in 95 in my 2nd week , he came and asked for me ? said he knew my father and worked out with him at east bank for years nightly. smallest of small worlds!
he was a true innovator and essentially an important architect in what wholesale is in this area.
He was also a true gentleman.
