Ronnie,
Hard to believe that we have been without you for a whole year. Sometimes it seems like it was only yesterday.

Thank you and Darlene for raising 3 great daughters - they are truly a blessing to me and have been and will continue to be an integral part of my life.

Still miss you immensely, still want you here with me.

You will always be in my heart and head.

My love,
Karen

Hi Dad, Tomorrow it will be one year that we lost you and what a loss it has been. I sure should have visited more often and picked at your brain more when I was with you. I can't tell you what a rough year this has been. Thank you for everything that you taught me. You were a great daddy and a wonderful man. I was blessed to have you in my life. Thanks for helping me through that class so that I was able to see firsthand why you loved the ocean so much. Being able to place you at the Neptune Memorial Reef was an amazing experience and although I cannot make any more dives I cherish that I was able to learn and experience what you have been telling us for years was the most incredible place on earth. You were right as usual.
I miss you dad,, your girls are keeping in touch though and we are making sure Karen is ok ,, she is awesome and I love her very much.
Thanks for everything, hope you are enjoying your special view.

What a great experience for the three of us Fandrey girls and Karen to have! The memorial in Florida was beautiful, and gave each of us and his friends Jeanie and Steve a wonderful way to say a final "goodbye", and share some wonderful days together that we might not have had otherwise. Although something tells me Dad hasn't waited around all these months for this little expedition, I'm certain he visisted us while we were there and thought it was a pretty cool thing to do. Rest easy, Dad. We all love and miss you! (And can you believe we didn't have not even one whacky incident happen the whole trip??? That is a first!)

We placed my dad in the reef since he was such a fan of scuba and he loved the Florida ocean so much. I made the dive personally. This was the most perfect place to forever be in the ocean he loved.

I know I didnt know Ron very well, BUT, the few times I saw him, he was a funny, friendly and very smart fellow. I always had a great time when I was around him and his loved ones. I met him through the OTHER Ron (Obbish) and I am Eddie's cousin.
May GOD bless and keep him and his family in these times of sorrow.

Ronn,
I'm not gonna get all mushy here because I know you would tell me to can it. Didn't we have some adventures!!!
I don't think anyone else saw things as funny as the two Rons; but after 50+ years, we kinda had it down.
You were truly a best friend and one of a kind.

Ronnie,
You are my best friend and my love. Thanks hon! You have given me so many "gifts" but by far the best (ok second best after your love) is my family - your daughters, sisters and friends. You know you always have my heart and my head.

Well, daddy, this is some serious stuff! You know I am the biggest crybaby you've met, so I'll keep this short. Thanks for everything! We have had so much fun! I hope you are soaring now! Thanks for all the laughs we have had...we will keep them all close to our hearts. I got the canoe thing down, I think I'll teach it to Steve when we get to the river. I love you dearly...you know. I'll be looking for the eagle...you are welcome any time. Love you my hero! Rhonda Lynn....your baby girl.

Fandrey Family,
Ronn was one hell of a guy. It's been some time since I had seen Ron, but I remember his sense of humor, his kind heart and his love of the sea. I hope your fond memories of your Dad/Brother will somehow give all of you peace and comfort. I'll miss you Ron.

Uncle Ronn,
I'll never forget the time mom and I came to visit. We didn't have your number but she knew exactly where
to find you. We went to Dupage Inn and talked for hours. Afterward we went to your house where you
filled our car with canned food from your garden.

My mom loved and adored you and I know shes
thrilled to see you again. We however, will miss you. I love you dearly.

January 7, 2009

Daddy: Thank you for imparting the gift of a sense of humor, the love of a good book or a play, the appreciation for those who came before us, and for the time we spent together these last months. I'm really so greatful. I'm proud of the dignity you displayed during this battle from beginning to end, and I made sure you knew it. I love you, Daddy, and I miss you, but I also know you are on a boat somewhere warm, kicking back and fishing to your heart's content. No worries...we'll take care of Karen. Love from your oldest daughter...Cammy.

Ronn,
You will be greatly missed. I have many fond memories of you from taking me to see the bison, to fishing, to explaining nuclear reactions to me when I was like ten ha ha! I will miss all the garden goodies and watching you run around like a kid in a candy store on the Fourth of July. God must have needed your services to keep the rabbits out of the great garden in the sky. You will be missed!
