Rocco Buffardi Obituary
Rocco "Rocky" Buffardi, 95, of Lynchburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006. He was the husband of Margaret Mariano Buffardi.
Mr. Buffardi was born Sept. 8, 1911, in Naples, Italy, a son of the late Frank and Bridget Buffardi. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was retired from Air Products in Edison, N.J., and was a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Glenn Kasics of Monroe, and Karen and John Trubilla Jr. of Parlin, N.J.; and his grandson, Michael Ryan Trubilla, of Parlin, N.J.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
A Mass of Resurrection will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with the Rev. James E. Dorson officiating. Interment will follow in Amelia National Cemetery.

My condolences to the Buffardi family. I was often Mr. Buffardi's nurse while he was at Avante in Lynchburg. He was a wonderful person with a lovely family. You are in my prayers at this very difficult time. Virginia Langford

Dear Buffardi family,
I am so sorry and we are praying for your family.Mr. Buffardi was in the same room with my grandfather for a few days and my dad put cabinets in one of the daughters house. I enjoyed talking with you each time while visiting my grandfather and my children asked every night how you all were. You have a sweet family and I am praying for you everyday. Please let us know if we can do anything.
