Robert "Bob" Alan Stiewe, age 78. Born November 30, 1942, Loretto Hospital, Chicago, Illinois – passed peacefully at home September 8, 2021. Bob's family home 4815 N Melvina while he attended Prussing Elementary Class of '57, Lane Technical H.S Class of '61. Retired newsprint composer Daily News Sun-Times. Proud member of Communication Workers of America/Chicago Typographical Union #16. He was preceded in death by his parents' Robert Arthur Stiewe and Lorraine Elizabeth Schubert. Memorial and internment Edens Memorial Park Chapel 9851 W Irving Park , Schiller Park 11:00 am Monday April 25. Memorial contribution WWII Museum 945 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

I moved to Chicago at the age of 12 not knowing anyone. Bob invited me to play ball in the empty lot by our house and became a lifelong friend. I will miss our meetings when visiting him. Rest In Peace.
