Bob was my instructor for the Certifed Information Systems Auditor (CISA) exam. In that short time, I found he was very knowledgeable, friendly and overall good person. I owe my start to Bob's patience and teaching. Thank you.

Dear Sue, Katie and Megan,

How my heart sank upon hearing of the loss of Bob. I had only heard that sadness in Liz' voice once before, only weeks earlier with the passing of Jim.

As the youngest cousin, my memories of Bob are very limited, but I do remember him as a kind person.

May your memeories help you through your sorrow.

With love, "Auntie" Adele Martin, "cousin" Denise, and family

Dear Sue:

Bob and I were friends at Notre Dame HS and roommates our first two years at St. Norbert. About a week ago my brother called and told me he read about Bob's passing in the NDHS Alumni News. I could not believe it! I have thought about Bob every day since. While we had not stayed in touch over the years, I have never forgotten him. He always had a smile on his face and warmth in his heart. He was a real doer in life and never knew a stranger. May God bless you and your family during this difficult time.

Dear Sue, Megan, Katie, Joyce and Family,

Words cannot express how shocked and saddened I was when I heard about the passing on of Bob. Jim and Bob were very special people who made a difference in many lives. Fond memories will always be cherished and your love will always remain. Indeed, Jim, Bob, and Ted are fishing and humoring each other and Helen is contently enjoying their endeavors.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours at this time and always.

Dear Sue,

I was shocked when I heard the news, Bob worked for me at Household and I always enjoyed his stories about family and friends. I know this is a difficult time for you and the girls, his dry humor was always appreciated and he made the people around him stop and appreciate what they had.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

I was so shocked to hear of Bob's untimely passing. I've only known him for a few years at First Chicago, as one of his "auditees". In that short time we established a solid bond. It was a pleasure working with such a professional and and caring person.

Megan, Sue, and Katie,

I am so so sorry to hear about what has happened. When I heard the news all I could do was just sit on my couch and go through all of the memories that we had together. You are truly a wonderful family, and Bob will always be with me. On a cheerful note, I will always remember his army suit he let me wear for Halloween, his fantastic way of sticking up for me when I wasn't treated the right way, and his overall heart-warming personality that always made me want to call him a dad. I love you guys, and again I am so sorry. Megan, please call me at any time if you need me.

Sue, Kate & Megan,

There are so many of us who were tutored by Bob thru his many efforts with ISACA & the CISA examination. I am so deeply sorry for your loss; he was so young to go this early. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I enjoyed Bob immensely for the several months he worked with us out of our Minneapolis office. He was kind and funny with his sly smile; we always joked about the wonders of being Polish. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Sue,

I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am about Bob. My heart is with you and your family. My Aunt and Uncle send their best as well. that would be Erv and Bev Jensen. Bob grew up down the street from them in Park Ridge and they always thought he was the greatest like everyone else. Bob added so much to my days at St Paul. He was a mentor, a friend and a wonderful person to always be around. He will be missed. My prayers are with you and your families.

There are so many good things that I could say about Bob. He always cared about people and made them feel important by talking with them about themselves. Abraham Lincoln said. "Whatever you are be a good one." Bob was a good father, husband, auditor, manager, and friend. I'll miss him. May he rest in peace.

I was very suprised and saddened by the news I received today. Bob was an instructor of mine for the CISA certification in the late 1990s. While I did not work closely with Bob after that, he taught me a lot about IT Audit and I remember him fondly. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Dear Sue,

I just learned of Bob's passing from Amy and I just can't begin to express my sorrow for your loss. After speaking with Amy I went and sat out on the front step and looked across the street and the tears just started pouring out for the untimely passing of Bob. But the longer I sat and looked at the house, things that reminded me of who Bob was began to warm my heart. Such as the flagpole has taken on a whole new meaning of what it represents and how Bob lived his life. May the love of your family & friends carry you through this difficult time. If there is anything at all I can do for you back here in Cedar Rapids with the house, lawn or just anything at all please give me a call Sue. Just wanted you to know how terribly sorry I am for your loss.

Dearest Sue, Kate & Megan,

I am truly in shock and numb at the realization of Bob's passing. I feel he was really looking forward to enjoying the new home with Sue and Megan. His dry sense of humor was quite challenging but, definitely grew on me. I will not forget his generous and sincere offer to lend me his motorcycle whenever I wanted to take Becky out for a ride. Words cannot express our sorrow and grief for all of you during this extremely difficult time. We were certainly blessed to have known him even for this unreasomably short period. We will miss him greatly and keep him and you in our thoughts and prayers.

All our love,

Keith & Becky Hancock

Dear Susan, Katherine, Megan, Ethan & Joyce:

Marikay and I are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. It was especially surprising to have occurred so soon after Jim's death.

My best memory of Bob were in Busia's kitchen so long ago when he would be the one to insist that she take his seat rather than stand after she fixed a scrumptous holiday meal for the rest of the family. I always thought that was so kind and chivalrous of him.

Our hope is that as time goes on your cherished memories of Bob may provide you some degree of comfort and peace. We will keep Bob and all of you in our prayers.

B.T. Memories.............

New Year's Eve 1977 and learning of B.T.'s fondness of squirrel stew. Pequods. The Bringer Inn. His special way of teasing Kris. Door County. His immaculate lawn. Chili. His world famous recipe for brats. Tails in the window. Turning me on to Tom Clancy. "The Original Bad Attitide" t-shirt. Al Green in the round. Homemade salsa and Bear games. My bachelor party. Being a great friend. And a memory I will always have of Bob is his incredible love for his wife and children. Rest in Peace my friend, and keep Krissy company until I get there.
