Sikyta, Robert O. Age 75, of Romeoville, died suddenly, Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Born January 30, 1939 in Stickney, IL, he was the son of Robert and Lillian Violet (nee Kouba) Sikyta. United States Army veteran and former Credit Manager for Bornquist, Inc., Chicago, for over 25 years. Active resident of Grand Haven Retirement Community, Romeoville. Loving father of Ross (Cathy) Sikyta of Normal, and Brad (Kelli) Sikyta of Mokena; devoted grandfather of Ashley, Melanie and Joey Sikyta, and Robert Sikyta; fond brothers of Jim (Barbara) Sikyta of Homer Glen, and Larry (Jayne) Sikyta of Lee's Summit, MO; dear brother-in-law to Joan (late George) Delimata of Raleigh, NC; and dear uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his wife, Carol A. (nee Ouska) Sikyta (2007); and his parents. Funeral services for Robert O. Sikyta will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday September 16, 2014 at St. Dennis Catholic Church, 1214 S Hamilton St, Lockport, IL. Visitation Monday, 4-8 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
