Early on, I worked with Bob and his wife, Virginia, at Midway Airport for TWA.
Later, we came together at the TWA Windy City Ambassador luncheons for many years.
The Rachford family has my deepest condolences for their loss. We share your sadness. There are no sufficient words.

Bob was a great man. Humble, sincere and with great character. Spent time talking with him about his kids and grandkids who he loved. Loved taking care of his roses in the small garden as it reminded him of his wife. A great neighbor who became a good friend. God Bless Bob you will be truly missed.

I will remember and miss Bob for many things: his love of life and family, his supportive personality and his friendliness. Bob loved life and ,yes, he did enjoy life but, more than that, he wanted everyone to love life and get the most out of it! He was one of a kind and will be sorely missed!

Sincere sympathy to the family of Bob Rachfod. Worked with Bob for many years at TWA and later when he was with airport security. Bob loved his work with TWA, and had a tie clip that reflected his many years with TWA. While working for him, I could always count on his strong leadership and direction.

Our heartfelt condolences to Bob's Family and sorrow in this time of grief. He was our friend and coworker at TWA. Yes, I have know him from the fifties at MDW then ORD. In retirement at the many events with the Chicago Ambassadors-Windy City Chapter also cruises with so many great times with Ginny & Bob. From working the ramp as Cargo Agents with him at MDW to being an Agent then his final job of Supervisor ATO-Gates at ORD, a span of so many years of friendship, even leaving our beloved TWA with the greatest time of my life. Will miss you Bob, see ya later. GOD Bless Tom, and Joan Sharkey

It's always too soon. Always unexpected . You will be missed at the Western Springs Senior Center every time there is an event without you. Every time there is a class. Every time something you would like happens. My heart breaks.
