I have known Fr. Myers for many years. I worked at Techny for 30+ years. He was one of the finest persons I have ever known. Never a cross or unkind word about anyone or anything. Kind hearted, spiritual and funny. At the dedication of the Chicago Province Center in 1987, the Blue nuns were in attendance & all sat with Fr. Bob. One asked if I was his niece. From that day forward I called him Uncle Father Bob & he called me his niece. I went to work part time in the Finance Dept., & continued to work part time for Father Bob. In 1991 I worked full time in finance. My replacement, a sweet young girl also became Fr. Myers niece. So, we continued to call him Uncle Father Bob & he referred to us as his nieces...he loved it! He led a long & good life. He will be missed by the many who knew him & understood him. I know it was my honor to have worked for him. I am sure his good friend Br. Joe was at the Pearly Gates to meet him. I am a better person today for having known him. May he rest in peace.

I haven't seen Fr. Bob in many years. I am the granddaughter of Charles Myers, daughter of Roger Myers. I extend my condolences and my prayers are with Fr. Bob. May he rest in peace. Sincerely, Deb (Myers) Rogers
