Robert Mulcahy Obituary

Mulcahy, Robert M. "Bob" 78, of St. Charles, died Sunday, December 18, 2005, at his home. He was born July 16, 1927, in Chicago, the son of Patrick T. and Annie Marie (Noonan) Mulcahy. He was a graduate of St. Mels High School in Chicago, During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines. Bob retired from Commonwealth Edison Company after 38 years of service. He is survived by his sister, Kathleen Clark of Encinitas, CA, his brother, Gene Mulcahy of St. Charles and his sister, Nancy (Fred) Simmons of St. Charles and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerard Mulcahy, his sister, Marge Kearney, a sister-in-law, Kitty Mulcahy and a brother-in-law, Harold Clark. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at the Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St. (3 blks West of the Fox River and 1 blk. South of Rt. 64), St. Charles, where a liturgical wake service will be held at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2005, at St. Patrick Church, 408 Cedar St., St. Charles, with Monsignor Joseph B. Linster celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva. Contributions in Mr. Mulcahy's memory may be made to Our Lady of Creek Bend, 37W584 Dean St., St. Charles, IL, 60175.
