Robert Metke Obituary
Robert A. Metke, Army Veteran, Beloved husband of the late Bernadette " Boots", nee, Waliczek. Loving father of James (Jeanette) Metke and Anthony (Gabriel Candelaria) Metke. Proud grandfather of Robert and Joseph Metke. Dear brother of the late Joan (late Jack) O'Brien. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Monday from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday from 8:30 AM until time of Prayers at 9:30 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to St. Daniel the Prophet Church for a 10 AM Mass of Chrisitan Burial. Robert will be laid to rest next to his wife at Resurrection Cemetery. Recently learned of the untimely passing of Bob Metke and wish to offer condolences to his family. I was fortunate to have him as a supervisor early on as an apprentice plumber. Fortunate again later to meet and work with his son Jim who carried on in his father’s footsteps. God bless.
