Dear Mattern family:
I was so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I worked closely with Bob on many occasions over the last several years. The circumstances that led me to Bob were always difficult (a serious computer problem), but Bob always resolved the issue in a complete and efficient manner (at the same time being personable, understanding, and exhibiting his great sense of humor). I learned a lot from him through these interactions (more than just about computers), and I will miss him greatly.
The Mattern family (including Bob) is in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Bob was delightful guy, who I really connected with. I never spoke to him unless I had a problem, but I never came away from talking to him without a smile on my face.
