Robert Paul Karall, age 69, proud member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors and longtime mechanic in charge-most recently with KONE-passed away November 21, 2025. A dedicated father and grandfather, Bob took great pride in his career, including his years as the mechanic-in-charge at Wrigley Field. Beloved father of Julianna (Bill) Meidell; cherished grandfather of Lily C. and Emma; lovingly remembered by Katherine Becker, mother of his daughter, and Theresa Price, his longtime companion. Dear brother of John David (Laurie), Frank T., Leo M., and Steve T. (Kim); fond uncle of Leo M., Steven, and Seth R.; preceded in death by Jasper. A lifelong Chicagoan, Bob enjoyed golfing, fishing, shooting, cycling, skiing, and cheering for the Blackhawks, Bears, and Cubs. Memorial Visitation for Bob will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Casey & Rios Funeral Home, 4540 West Diversey Ave., Chicago, IL 60639. Family and friends are encouraged to wear jerseys from Bob's favorite teams-the Chicago Blackhawks, Bears, and Cubs-to honor his love of Chicago sports.
