Ebeling, Robert H. age 81, beloved husband of the late Virginia (nee Grant), devoted father of Bobby (Linda) Bergwall, Barb (Bill) Thomas, Bill (Elaine) Ebeling, Brian (fiancee, Teresa Dawson) Ebeling, proud grandfather of Brent (Helen) Bergwall, Gini (Scot) Shepley, Laura (Jason) Brandenberg, Lisa (Niko) Herzog, Billy (Sarah) Thomas, Arla and Sara Ebeling, cherished great-grandfather of seven, loving uncle, great and great-great-uncle of many. Funeral service Saturday, 1 p.m., at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn, IL. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 2 to 10 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Dear Brian and Siblings,
Frank and I had intended to attend the wake tonight, but we just can't do it. Frank hates to drive at night if he can avoid it and just about the time we were going to get ready to leave (around 3PM - the snow came - and it looked like it would pile up. To make a long story short, we didn't get out. Could it be we're getting old? Perish the thought, but we are!!
But wanted to be sure to let you know that you're in our thoughts and prayers. It's mighty tough to lose a parent - and it seems you guys just did that not long ago.
Please know we care and though we didn't make it personally to the wake, right now, 6:30 Friday night, we're THERE, in spirit.
Your dad was a fine man and what a comfort to know your folks are together again!
