Robert Delaney Obituary
Robert Emmett "Bob" Delaney, Jr., 79, of Lisle, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023. The beloved son of the late Robert Emmett Delaney, Sr. and Virginia Mary Delaney (née Doyle), Bob earned his Master's Degree from DePaul University, then had a long career in International Management with Navistar. When not working, Bob adored spending time with family, enjoyed golf, playing poker and watching Notre Dame football. Go Irish! He will be remembered as always being an optimist, a great conversationalist with a special twinkle in his eye, and forever missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Lawrence (the late Andrea) Delaney, and his grandson, Aiden Delaney. Bob is survived by his son, Kevin Delaney, and his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Delaney; his sisters, Kathleen (William) Domm and Ellen Delaney; nieces Jacqueline Moriarty (Benjamin Maki) and Sherri (Kory) Burton, nephew Sean Delaney (Trish Gorecki), great nephews Jack Burton and Eoin Delaney; cousins and friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532.

So sorry to hear that Bobby has passed on. I always enjoyed his company as kids and his lively and cheerful personality. My Mother always said he was such a "nice boy" and that was so true. I enjoyed seeing him at a wedding a few years ago and we had a nice conversation just like the "old days" he hadn't changed. My heart goes out to his family. May he R.I.P.
