Robert J. Adamczyk, 86, of Villa Park. Beloved husband of Jeannine nee Slowik; loving father of Cynthia (Kevin) McCarthy, Wendy (Richard) Adamczyk-D'Andrea, and Lori (Matt) Beausoleil; grandfather of Jake (Elizabeth) McCarthy, Ross (Valerie) McCarthy, Angelynn (Michael) Adams, Laura Adamczyk-D'Andrea, David Adamczyk, Noelle Beausoleil, and Adam Beausoleil; great-grandfather of Jack McCarthy, Gregory McCarthy, Sean McCarthy, Isabella McCarthy, Connor McCarthy, Nina McCarthy, Parker Adams, and Austin Adams. Robert was a former Trustee for the Village of Villa Park from 1979 until 1983 and past Commander and proud member of the Chicago Sail and Power Squadron. Visitation, Thursday, June 24th, from 9:15 AM until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:15 AM at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church,330 N. Westmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

My good friend Bob was a neighbor of my wife Donna, Bob, Nancy, Bobby and Debbie Behenna. I grew just a block away. My earliest memory of Bob was he built a kit car back in the day we all thought it was so cool. Many years later Bob and I connected when he wasn't able to do some of the things around the house fertilizer, edging etc. Special times we would just talk and talk mostly about his working years, and I can't tell you how many times I heard the same story over and over, but it gave him joy to tell the "Bob" stories. When it came time to move to his new home, He and Jeannine would reach out to me for a new project or just advice on something believe it Bob Adamczyk asked me for advice right! We spoke the same language, I guess. I hope someday to be a storyteller and be able to pass knowledge along to others as Bob did so well. God Bless you

He will be surely missed by all my condolences go out to his family. I considered him another father figure in my life. His stories of the old days were always interesting. Bob god bless heaven has received a good one.
