Richard SHUMATE Obituary

SHUMATE, Richard Lee, age 80 of Duluth, GA, formerly of Tampa, died December 3, 2015. A Mem-orial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday December 6, 2015 at Duluth First Bap-tist Church. Mr. Shumate was born in Radford, VA. He attended Roanoke College and then trans-ferred to the University of Richmond Business School. He worked for GE Capital for 30 years and was most recently president of GTE Leasing. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Shumate; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Bev Shumate of Danville, CA and Randy and Jeana Shumate of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Josh, Marissa, Drew, and Taylor; brother B. K. Shumate of Richmond, VA. He was preceded in death by brother, Jim Shumate. Online condolences may be sent by visiting: www.bill headfuneralhome.com. Shirley and family - Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Gary has great memories of working with Dick for many years. Some of our best golfing/traveling stories come from being with you both in Hawaii, London and other destinations.
