Rlee Weems Obituary
HIS FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2005 AT 2 P.M. AT CROOKED OAK BAPTIST CHURCH WITH THE BODY TO LIE IN STATE FROM 12 P.M. UNTIL SERVICE TIME. JAMES McCULLAR WILL OFFICIATE AND BURIAL WILL BE IN CROOKED OAK CEMETERY.
MR. WEEMS WAS A NATIVE OF KILLEN, AL BUT WAS A RESIDENT OF COLBERT COUNTY FOR THE PAST 24 YEARS. HE WAS A RETIRED TRUCK DRIVER WITH FLEET FORCE TRUCKING OF RUSSELLVILLE AND A MEMBER OF CROOKED OAK BAPTIST CHURCH. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS, HOMER AND WILLIE WEEMS, HIS BROTHERS, D.W.WEEMS AND J. W. WEEMS. HE WAS LOVED BY EVERYONE WHO KNEW HIM.
SURVIVORS INCLUED HIS WIFE, LAGUANIA WEEMS OF LEIGHTON, AL,; SONS, MARK WEEMS OF FLORENCE, RONALD WEEMS OF LEIGHTON; DAUGHTERS, KAREN GIFFORD AND SHERRY FRANKLIN BOTH OF FLORENCE, BROTHER, DELMER WEEMS OF GRIFFIN, GA; GRANDCHILDREN, STEPHANIE FRANKLIN, AMY GIFFORD, ASHTON BRILEY, PAIGE BRILEY, SERINITY WEEMS, DESTINY WEEMS, ALEX BAILEY AND ONE GREAT GRANDCHILD, TAYLOR FRANKLIN.
PALLBEARERS ARE DENNIS BEVIS, JEFF LEATHERWOOD, ROGER CORNELISON, CRAIG BRALY, EVER MARROQUIN, AND BLANK BLANK.
THE FAMILY WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND A SPECIAL THANKS TO THE DOCTORS AND NURSES AT FLORENCE CANCER CENTER AND ALL EMPLOYEES OF FLEET FORCE TRUCKING.
