I miss you my brother. I am wider now and I would live to hang out with you and learn from you. How nice it would be to have you be in my life at this phase in my life. Im sorry you didnt get a chance to complete your life and see your daughter and grandson get older and grow and change. You left behind your siblings, mother and daughter who love you dearly. You are truly missed. Please take care of our little sister, Christy. You both are gone but you are not forgotten. You are still loved and you both left a huge print in our hearts. Until we see each other again past the gates of Heaven, I hope your time is spent in peace and joy.
Your sister, Angie

Oh how my heart is heavy and saddened as I miss my brother every day. He was such a strong, independent man. He lived and adored his daughter, Carrie. He loved his wife, Angie Messer Teague, faithfully. Ricky worked so hard in the heat and cold to provide for his family. He grew up Farming with his grandparents, Lee and Zeomia Rich, on Rich Cove Road in Maggie Valley. Love of the outdoors and mountain life followed him his life. An avid outdoorsman who loved to dig ramps and ginseng, and lived fishing. One of many legacies is the overseeing of the sidewalks built and Maggie Valley North Carolina. He also left many rock walls and rock flower gardens around the area. Ricky was very skilled with his masonry. He had three sisters , Angie ( Angela) Teague, Deneen Gibson Cody, Christy Gibson Cody. We all miss him so dearly. His mother, Dorothy Rich Teague Gibson was very close to Ricky and thought of him as the apple of her eye and her only son who was the man in her life. She will forever be heartbroken . Ricky was a very very special man with a stubborn streak, yet loving and compassionate. He was an icon of Maggie Valley during the 60s 70s 80s 90s and mid 2,000s. For anyone who never met him or knew him, I sure you you missed out on something very special. My heart aches for you every day my big brother, and I know that you are living with the Lord in heaven with granny and daddy Rich and your stepson Browdy. When I see you again, I'll say all the things I wish I had. Rest in the Lords arms brother. Love from your sister, Angie
