"Hoppy", beloved husband of Virginia (nee Hejl), devoted father of Jeannette Sosa, Rickey Jr. (Mary), Dean (Amanda) and Nicholas Hoppenrath, loving grandfather of 12, dear son of Berniece and the late Melville Hoppenrath, fond brother of Berneice, Shirley, Jackie and Jennifer, half brother of James, Tom and Melba, best friend of Norman. Retired deputy chief of the Worth Fire Dept. Resting at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 S. Harlem Ave., Worth where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Assoc., 30 North Michigan Ave., Suite 2015, Chicago, IL 60602 appreciated. 708-448-6000.
