Richard Joseph Simko, age 82, of Chicago, IL; passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025. U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam War; loving father of Bob Simko and Cindy Simko; dearest brother of Carole Simko and Michael (JoAnn) Simko.
Visitation Wednesday, November 5th, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St. Oak Lawn (708) 636-1193. Followed by Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.

While I have met Richard, I have been friends with his son Bob for years. Bob is a testament to the man Richard was and I am fortunate to be able to call Bob my friend. Richard lived a good long life although it was not long enough for my friend Bob. May Richard be free of his earthly struggles and may Bob find solace in his memories and those of us who will support him through this loss.
