Thank you Mr Muller. You were an incredible math teacher, I'm so very grateful for your influence in my life. You taught us all so much in the four years of Math Club, and I appreciate you allowing me and John Jimenez to pursue an independent study for our senior year. You really pushed us and allowed us to go further, and it is in big thanks to you that I ended up a Math major at Yale. I'll always remember our trip down to the downstate math finals, and I appreciate you always looking out for me. Sorry I didn't get another chance to come back and see you, but you had a profoundly positive influence in my life and I thank you. My condolences to your family all these years later. I know it's very belated, but Mr. Muller was an exception teacher and I wouldn't be who I am today without him. Peace and Love.

Dear Rich,
What a great man. Always dedicated to his students at St. Pat's H.S. and to his choir at I.C. He was the only one who ever gave me typed notes indicating his absence from choir rehearsal and was truly worried about being gone. We will really miss you now, you were a great mentor to all the tenors, always there to help and find the right page or measure. Not only that, but we will miss all the baked, homemade goodies you wowed us with: chocolate chip cookies, potato salad to name a few, but most of all, our party on Saturday will miss you and the love you baked into your homemade apple pie. God Bless you Rich and may you love your new place in the choir of angels.

Mr. Mueller was a great teacher who took the extra time to help me out during my freshman year 1980 (as I was being introduced to Algebra for the first time). By the end of that year, not only was I carrying my weight in class, but I actually joined the math club (with his encouragement) and won a ribbon as part of a St. Patrick's team that competed at an Oak Park-River Forest H.S. meet. My prayers go out to his family at this time as we all mourn the passing of this dedicated teacher.

Dear Margaret and Krystyna:
I have known your brother and Uncle for 10 years. My son had him as a Teacher and I worked with Rich at Bingo. On the second to the last day of Bingo I asked Rich what will you do with all your free time now that Bingo is over he said "Have more time to grade papers." His students always came first. That showed his dedication to the students of St. Patrick High School. It was because of the dedication of his teachers my son witnessed at SPHS that he decided to become a History Teacher. I always kept Rich updated on his progress toward teaching. He will be sorely missed.

Rich was good friend when we were in high schoo. He truly made an impact as a Shamrock, dedicating his life to the school and the students.

I am also an IC graduate (1957 with Rich's sister Margaret) and St Patrick graduate(1961) and remember your brother as a very kind and considerate person. And I know many wonderful tributes will follow from those whose lives were touched by him.

Rare is the man who deserves the title TEACHER. Many are instructors but Rich deserved that title which our Lord used to describe Himself. Dear friend, you will be missed!
