Carol, Rich is with the Lord Jesus now. It is a sad time for now, but you can be assured that you will see him again in Christ's presence.

My thoughts and prayers to everyone who knew and loved Richard. There were always fun and happy times when Rich was around. He had a great sense of humor and always knew how to make us laugh. We had many, many happy times at Addison Street Baptist Church over the years. He had a great commitment to the Lord and he will be missed by all who knew him.
We'll see you again, Rich, when the Lord calls us home. God Bless!

To the family of Richard:
It was with shock and sadness that I read Richard's name among the death notices. How could it be that the boy with the shy, sweet smile has been taken? That he spent his life in the service of God is no surprise. I remember his singing, both in high school and at church. Earth's loss is heaven's gain. My sincere condolences to all who loved him. Please accept my condolences – Rich was a great guy and a good friend. He had a sharp mind and an even sharper wit. I have many happy memories of our years together in the Boy/Explorer Scouts and our time at Lake View High School. I last saw Rich at a high school reunion some twenty years ago and Rich hadn’t changed much – still doing God’s work and enjoying life.
It is my prayer that you will find comfort in your memories of Rich and of a life well lived.

Ken and I have many fond memories of Pastor McCulley, not the least of which was how big a help he was to us when he came to visit my Dad, Bill Kessell, during those final years of his life. He was also a great comfort to us when my Mom, Jane, passed suddenly, calming both of us and giving much comfort to my Dad.
Pastor McCulley was a warm, loving person, who truely understood the Lords work.
One memory which sticks in my mind is when my Mom and Dad were renewing their vows at Addison Street Community Church and Pastor Rice handed Pastor McCulley my Mom's bouquet. Seeing him standing there holding it let you know what a true servants spirit he had and always brings a smile to our faces when we look at the picture. We will miss him so and wish to send our sincerest condolences to Carol and Sarah and the rest of the family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

Family and friends of Rich McCulley-
As a youth participant in the 1970's Rich has a special place in my memory. I remember, whenever he was around a special presence. He was a large man but, I later learned, his largeness was not just his stature, but his love of God.
I didn't have the ability to understand this until in 1996 when living in Wisconsin God opened my eyes to His plan through Jesus!
I started to seek out as much as I could of the things of God. At this time around 1997 I attended a prayer session at Addison. Pastor McCulley was leading the session and it was there that I understood him to be in Christ. The questions of what was special about him that I observed in my youth were answered.
We are all united in the loss and we are all comforted through the word he loved. With all confidence he is dressed in the righteousness of Jesus as the word he loves declares. As the word he loves is still with us, Pastor McCulley's love is still with us.
Thank you Pastor McCulley for giving us examples of responding to God's love through reading the bible.

Dear Carol,
You haven't heard from me in a while. I used to attend Addison St. Church back in the 70's-80's. I taught Sunday school there for many years. I got an email from Dick Atkinson today. I just wanted to tell you that you are in my prayers. I know that Rich is in a better place and having the time of his life. I pray that the Lord will give you and Sarah a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Love,
Nancy Lenz

Rich was a great friend during our days at Lake View High School, and fond memories of that time in our lives stay with me. His kindness and gentle touch with the people around him was evident even then. Thus, I was truly saddened to learn of his illness and now his passing. Please accept my sincere condolences.
