Richard Linyard Obituary
Richard Linyard, Citibank retiree
and the former president of Seaway National Bank, died on Aug. 3 at 93. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Novella Linyard;
his wife, Maggie Lee Robinson-Linyard; his son Lance; his siblings: Charles Jr., Bernice, Venida, Frances, Janet, David, and Barbara. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving daughter and son, Linda and Timothy; grandchildren: Melanie, Lance, Richard, Damien, and Kyle; many beloved great grandchildren; sister Patricia (Solomon); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
Richard Linyard's visitation will be on Monday, Aug 12, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Wallace Broadview Funeral Home, 2020 Roosevelt Rd. in Broadview. His wake and funeral will be on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m and noon, at Second Baptist Church, 436 S. 13th Ave. in Maywood. He will be interred at 1:30 p.m at Oakridge Cemetery, 4301 W. Roosevelt Rd.

Richard Linyard was a trailblazing pioneer. He and his family were also longtime family friends when I was growing up in Chicago. I remember many gatherings at their home in Maywood. I always admired his quiet dignity, and down-to-earth personality. I am deeply saddened to hear of his recent passing.
