Cherished husband of Bernadette (nee King), loving father of Denise (Cletus) Skaggs, Richard (Charlotte) Herling, Robert (Diane) and Brenden Herling, Judy Doubleday, James (Donna) and John (Kathy) Nielsen, dearest grandfather of eight, dear great grandfather of 14, devoted son of the late Ruth and William Herling, loved brother of Jean (the late Tom) Haberstrom, William (the late Marge) Herling, George Herling, Ruth (the late James) Adair, Mary Ann (James) Smith, and the late Raymond (the late Louise) Herling, fond brother-in-law of Celeste and Elizabeth King, dear uncle and friend to many. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, 9 a.m. from Lawn Funeral Home, 7732 W. 159th St., Orland Park, to St. John Fisher Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre. Long time employee of Midlothian Country Club. Donations to the Brendan Herling Education Fund c/o Palos Bank, 12600 So. Harlem Ave., Palos Heights, IL, 60463, appreciated.
