It was a pleasure to know you, Richard. I hadn't heard from you in awhile, thought you finally took that trip back to Ireland you talked about so often. Hope you went peacefully, you sure deserved it. You are missed.

The Finlay Family of St Rene offer our condolences to the Fitzgerald Family. My father was also born in Ireland and enjoyed talking about the Old Country with your dad. He was one of the pillars of St Rene and devoted a good deal of his time to the church and for that we are all grateful.

I am offering some prayers for your family. I was sorry to hear about the death of Mr. Fitzgerald, they prayed for him at Mass this past Sunday. I had met him several times during my 10 years at SMI. I always looked forward to seeing him at the St. Pat's party and more recently saw him at a Senior luncheon. He was a very nice gentleman and I am happy that I had the chance to meet him. I loved to hear his brogue. I am sorry for your loss.

My sincere sympathy to all of you. My husband Rich worked with your Dad for many years. We used to come to your house and visit. You and our six boys used to play together. Your mom was a lovely lady. It was my pleasure knowing all of you but especially your dad. He was one of a kind.
My best to all of you,
June Turek, Des Plaines, IL

I was taken aback by the news of Dick's passing. I have many memories of having him visit my parents house (Joe and Maaureen Fitzgerald) and remember loving his hat collection. My sympathies to the family.

To the family of Rich, my sincere condolences. I will miss him and think about him probably everytime I'm on his block working. I was his friend Kirsten from On Doody Dog Waste Removal. I worked for his one neighbor for many years and currently work for his other neighbor. I have known Rich for close to ten years. I remember the first time we met. He was taking his daily walk and started to talk to me, not paying attention to where I was going I walked into a tree. He laughed and we were fast friends. I would visit with him when he was out and even met many of his relatives. As of late, I hadnt seen much of him but I did leave him notes telling him HELLO. I will miss him and his many stories which I enjoyed. God Bless Rich and his family.
