Richard Arias Obituary

Arias, Richard Age 65, late of Tennessee formerly of South Chicago, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014. Loving father of Aurora (William) Ruckman and Celeste (Marc) Baker; caring grandfather of Joshua, Brandon and Noah Baker; dear brother of Deborah Ascencio, Rachel Robinson and the late Katarino "Kiki" Ramos, Jr.; kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Katarino Ramos and Mary Arias. Richard proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army earning the Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), Overseas Service Ribbon (2), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3), Expert Badge M16 Rifle, Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Campaign Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Visitation 1:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Griesel Jimenez Stodden Funeral Home, 10240 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago, IL 60617. Interment private. 773.768.0632.

In loving memory of my precious Uncle. Thank you for taking care of my mother Rachel. Thank you for taking her in and being there for her. Here are some pictures of me and our family. My older brother Harrison graduated in 2019! He went to College! Rorie graduated as well in 2012. My mom has gotten engaged and It's going well. I will love you and miss you always.
