A WWII U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. Preceded by his loving wife, Mildred M. (nee Barren) (May 6, 2008). Beloved father of Richard, Charles (Norma), Lorraine and David (Donna) Archer; beloved grandfather of Jeanette, Douglas, Daniel, Michelle, Kimberly, Charles, Richard, Jillian, David and Madeline; great-grandfather of Jessica, Sabrina, Matthew and Brianna; one sister, Dolores Heggner. Funeral Mass Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 129 S. Division St., Plainfield, IL. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
