Renie J. Gallant, 85, of Milton, New Hampshire, formerly of South Berwick, Maine, a laborer at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 23 years before his retirement in 1968, died at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation for Rochester on Monday, November 5, 2001. Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, November 7, 2001, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at McIntire-McCooey Funeral Home, 301 Main Street, South Berwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, November 8, 10 a.m., at St. Michael's Church, Young Street, South Berwick, officiated by the Rev. H.J. Cameron, pastor. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Rollinsford, Maine. Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Michael's Church, 29 Young Street, South Berwick, ME 03908.
