It has been almost a year, but please know that Ray has not been forgotten! He is sorely missed by all of his BTQ co-workers throughout the country at the USDOL. I was thinking of him today and I wanted to share our secret cheer that we end our BTQ meetings with, in Ray's memory.....

GO BEARS!!!! ;-)

We miss you, Ray!!

I was so saddened to hear of the loss of this very special man. I have worked with Ray various times at cross regional reviews and feel very blessed to have done so. I can still picture him smiling and talking about a baseball game he attended or a restaurant he found. We lost a good one...

Jan,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time. I feel blessed to have worked with Ray during our Cross Regional reviews in Chicago, Salt Lake City and most recently, San Francisco. The lunch that I shared with Ray during our last visit will be a cherished memory.

I am a colleague of Ray's from the US Department of Labor's Boston Regional Office. Ray and I worked very closely for several years and I had the good fortune to consider him an exemplary public servant, a devoted family man and a good friend. The news of his untimely death has still not sunk in. Ray and I had dinner together recently when he was here in Boston on a business trip. He was vibrant and happy and at peace with himself, his work and, above all, his family. That dinner and conversation will endure in my mind as we all - his family, colleagues and friends - all work through the grief and realization that Ray no longer literally walks among us. The consolation for those of us who knew this gentle man is that Ray's spirit will walk with us for the rest of our uncertain lives. And for that, we are grateful.

Jan, Pat and I send you, Ray's mother, and your families our heartfelt sympathies for the loss of a lovely man. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
