Ralph Passarelli Obituary
Ralph Passarelli of Staten Island, died April 22, 2012 at Mt. Sinai, NYC of natural causes. He was 52. Mr. Passarelli was a self-employed commercial appraiser in Staten Island. Mr. Passarelli was born July 1959 in San Fili, Italy to Giuseppe and Assunta Scarpelli Passarelli. He was educated in Port Chester and graduated from Port Chester in 1977. Mr. Passarelli lived in Staten Island. Locally, he was "Basketball Coach of the Year" at St. Anne's Parish, Staten Island. Mr. Passarelli will be remembered for his great sense of humor, generosity, love of his family, an avid fan of the Yankees and loved collecting antique model trucks. "Everything is going to be alright."
He was predeceased by his mother, Assunta Passarelli, in 1998. Surviving are his father, Giuseppe Passarelli; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marisa and John R. Telesca, and Tricia and Frank Laccona; a nephew, John Telesca; a niece, Gabby Laccona; a nephew, AJ Laccona; two sons, Joseph Passarelli and Vincent Passarelli; and his former spouse, Patalina Passarelli.
Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Joseph Tutera Funeral Home Inc., 121 South Regent St., Port Chester. The funeral is 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Corpus Christi Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY.
