Phyllis Modla Obituary
Phyllis M. Modla passed away on December 8, 2023 at the age of 82. She was born and raised in Chicago's Back Of The Yards Neighborhood. Graduated from Saint Joseph High School. Worked at CNA Insurance in downtown Chicago. After marriage she became a full time home maker and loving mother to her three children. Once her grand children started being born, she became a full time grandmother. She is survived by her husband Edward and three children. Daughters - Donna (John) Leslie, Lynn (Jim) Grana, and son Edward J. Modla. Cherished grandmother of Alexander, Allison and Paige Leslie. Many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents ; Edmund & Angeline Uznanski and two brothers - Jerome and Robert (Joan Ann) Uznanski.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023 8:30 a.m. until time of prayers 9:15 a.m. at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. to Sacred Heart Church, mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery
