Phyllis Cornwell Obituary

Phyllis M. Cornwell, longtime resident of Roseville, died peacefully in her home Sunday afternoon. She was 81 years of age.

Phyllis was born in Detroit on July 15, 1923, daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret (Pole) Schultz. She was a graduate of Demby High School. She worked as an upholsterer for Chrysler where she met her husband, Mr. Clifford Cornwell. The couple united in marriage on May 17, 1947 in Assumption Grotto Catholic Church. They lived in Detroit until building their home in Roseville in 1950. She then worked for the Bank of Commonwealth as a data entry for several years. Phyllis enjoyed camping in the Lapeer area with her husband and family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by the many she has touched in her lifetime.

She is survived by her dearest sons, Gary (Linda) and Greg; loving siblings, Maryann, Elmer (Ilene), and Joseph Schultz; cherished grandchildren Kristen, Amanda, and Joshua; and dear great grandson, Dylan.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifford, on March 3, 2001.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, on Wednesday from 1pm until 9pm. A funeral will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am from the funeral home.
