Phillip Sloan Obituary
Phillip E. Sloan, 73, a former journalist, international banking and finance attorney, and published poet, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, in Arlington, Virginia, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Donna Cameron and devoted father of Andrew Sloan. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on November 9 in Brooklyn, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Library of Congress, supporting the fine arts that he cherished, or to Filmmaker For A Cause (FMFAC), a nonprofit that amplifies the voices of under-recognized organizations, reflecting his lifelong commitment to social justice.

Dear Donna and Andy,
My deepest condolences and prayers for love and guidance for the loss of dear Phil. He had an indelible spirit , a love for life and family and quest for truth , justic and knowledge. He was an amazing human being and he will sorely missed.

Phil was one of the brightest members of our law school class at Northwestern and a great, thoughtful, talented attorney. He was also such a loving husband to Donna and a truly great Dad to Andy. He was a renaissance man with his multiple interests spanning art, jazz and poetry. My whole family will miss him terribly.
