Dwyer, Phillip T. age 71, beloved son of the late Walter and Catherine Dwyer, loving father of Loretta (Martin) Balsam, Phillip (Deanne) and Joseph (Lynn), beloved companion of Lucille Kahoun, proud grandfather of Caitlin, Peter, Bridget, Brenna, Meghan, Emma, Jack, Maeve, Annie, Grace and Mara, loving brother of James, Mary, Eugene, Patrick and the late Walter and Jack, extended family of Mary Ann (Dan) Coogan and children and George (Rita) Gorss, dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday, 9:15 a.m. from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, to St. Denis Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 3 until 9 p.m. Member of American Legion Post #0080. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Leukemia Research Foundation, 820 Davis St., Suite 420, Evanston, IL, 60201 would be appreciated. Loretta, Marty & Kids,

My Uncle Phil:
My dad's big brother and a second father to me. A great man who provided encouragement and taught me many things about life. I will miss you greatly, and try to live as you did. My deepest sympathies to those who were closer to him, whose loss is greater than mine.
