Staadt, Peter R. of Crystal Lake, U.S. Marine Corp., loving father of Peter (Tammy), Patricia (Bob) Savage, Bobby (Tracy), Jason, beloved son of the late Peter and Wilma (Dietz), fond grandfather of Sheri, Rob, Mike, Missy, Jeff, Steven and Amber, great-grandfather of Kylie, dear brother of Thomas and Gerald (Louisa). Visitation Wednesday, February 28, 2007, 2 to 8 p.m., at Willow Funeral Home, 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., Algonquin/Lake in the Hills, (1 mile East of Randall Rd.). Services Wednesday, 6 p.m. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family, would be appreciated. 847-458-1700 or www.willowfh.com

Pete had a very interesting and rough childhood. From motorcycle gangs to a short stint in the Marine Corp. He had nine lives and used 10. Kept his sense of humor till the very end. Even tried and succeeded in escaping from his nursing home last week and we laughed about it. Like his mother, he was his own person.
I'll miss him.
