Mascari, Rev. Peter 1AC30240 age 82, of Sherman, IL, born December 16, 1920 in Chicago, Il to Michael and Rose Condioto Mascari, passed away Monday, December 30, 2002, at Villa Health Care Center in West Sherman IL, beloved husband of the late Violet Maribella, survivors include one sister, Rose Soby of Sherman; one brother, Salvatore (Agnes) Mascari of Chicago, several nieces and nephews, preceded in death by his three brothers, James, Charles and John Mascari and three sisters, Concetta Mascari, Marie Rulik and Mary Cedrone. Ordained May 31, 1952. Assistant at St. Anthony Effingham 1952- 1953; St. Mary, Pittsfield, 1953-1957. Pastor at Holy Family, Athens and St. John Vianney, Sherman 1957-1993. Retired 1993. Hew was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Riverton and Athens. He was an Army Veteran serving in WWII. Private graveside services were held. Staab Funeral Home, Springfield, Il was in charge of arrangements. Reverend Ralph Zetzl, OFM officiating. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
