Peter Dunne Obituary

We were very sorry to hear about Peter. We had a great visit with him in July 2007 at Dewey Lake. The Dunne family has been in our prayers ever since. God bless you.

To Peter's entire family and especially his children: I was very sad to hear of Peter's death and realized the joy he always seemed to bring with him. I will remember that joy as I had experienced it with him in grade school, high school and college! I know he will be remembered in many hearts and our world was blessed to have shared in his life! I send hugs to the family and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you hold on to his memory and all the love he shared with you and many of us!

I am so glad we got to visit Peter up at Shady Shores last summer, it really brought back a lot of fond memories. I cannot believe Peter is gone at such a young age. Prayers to him and those who miss him so.

Dear Mrs. Dunne-Gleason, Laura, Mary Liz , Anne and the remaining extraordinary family members,
I have a picture of Peter with the most genuine smile ,giving me a high five after the Cubs win. I hope Harry Carry is the first to greet him in heaven, and second his loving father and my dad, Bruno. May he be at peace and live eternally in all whom he touched hearts forever. I am deeply saddened by the news of Peter's death. My condolences to the entire Dunne family, especially to his children and Laura. We will all miss him. He was a big part of my life in grade school and high school and we all had a lot of fun, thanks in part to Peter. He was a loyal friend who always made himself available to "catch-up" during my trips to the Chicago area. Life comes at us fast and there are a few people you can count on. Peter was always one of those special people, he was part of our squad and he made it happen his way! I will cherish the time we all had together and I will miss his sense of humor and his ability to hold you accountable on anything. He was a great guy!!

I am so sorry to hear about Peter's death. Peter stood out in the Class of 78 for his kindness and humor. He had an exceptionally loving nature. I know he will be missed.

I too am saddend by the passing of Peter.

From my perspective, I remember Peter as the little brother following around big brothers Tim and Billy (coach) during our time together at Shady Shores. Always looking up to his brothers while the brothers always looked after Peter.

Even then, Peter had a plan for his life and went after it.

God has a new plan for Peter now - he is needed in Heaven, and in that we should find some comfort.

What can I possibly say to express my grief, sorrow and sympathy. I am devastated at the loss of my oldest and first true friend. I still remember the day we met, sitting next to each other in the first grade of IC Grammar School. Peter was a great friend and an exceptional person, as anyone who has ever met him can tell you. I will miss him dearly.
