Buis, Peter Richard Age 90 of Diamond and formerly Oak Forest, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at his home. Peter was a son of the late Cornelius Abraham and Katie (Grima) Buis. He was a graduate of Blue Island HS; Veteran of the US Air Force serving during WW II in the European Theater of Operations and was an active and charter member of The Tinley Park Reformed Church. Employed by Local #150 Operating Engineers, retiring in 1982. Peter's life revolved around his church and his family. Peter is the husband of Virginia (nee Block); father of Kathy (Jerry) Sidenstick of New Lenox and Peter (Debi) Buis of Longwood, FL; grandfather of: Geri (John) Kratochvil of Goose Lake, Vicki (Ed) Cantwell of New Lenox, Wendi (Brad) Hauck of Bear, DE, Peter Buis of San Diego, CA and Andrew Buis of Longwood, FL; great grandfather of: Carolynn Kratochvil, Becki Cantwell, Renee Kratochvil, Kaitlin Hauck, Paul Kratochvil, Ryan Cantwell and Zachary Hauck and brother-in-law to Marcella Buis of Crestwood and Eva Buis of Manteno, as well as uncle to several and cousin and friend to many. Peter was preceded by his parents and two brothers: John and Richard Buis. Visitation Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 5 p.m. until time of funeral service 7 p.m. at The Tinley Park Reformed Church, 16530 Ridgeland Ave., Tinley Park, IL 60477. Pastor Mel DeVries will officiate. Interment in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL, Friday, October 5th at 10a.m. Friends wishing to attend are requested to meet in the cemetery at 9:45 a.m. Memorials to the Tinley Park Reformed Church appreciated. Virginia and Family
I am so sorry for your loss of Peter, I didn't know him that well, I am a resident of Country Meadows and I will miss seeing riding around in his golf cart.
He was a very friendly nice man.

Dear Mrs. Buis, Kathy, Peter and Family,
I am sorry for your loss of Mr. Buis. I know you are a very close loving family and he will be missed.
I hope the love and all the good memories you have of Mr. Buis will bring you a life time joy.
Your must remember his love for you and just reminder your self that you are one more day with out him in your life but you are one more day closer to being with him again in heaven.
