Peter Brownstone Obituary

Brownstone, Peter

PETER BROWNSTONE, age 83, was a retired social worker, critical-thinker, passionate news wonk, and champion of civil rights who loved to travel. For his final journey, Peter "set sail" from Chicago on August 10, 2022 to explore uncharted regions of eternity. He had recently returned from a delightful Rhine and Danube river cruise with his wife and was home long enough to settle back into city life and enjoy one more joyous backyard BBQ in the company of the family he started with Judy in 1967. Peter is survived by his adored daughters, Eve Brownstone, Laura (Cliff) Questel, Caty (Tom) Stillwell, his adventurous granddaughters Miranda Stillwell, Rose, and Anna Questel, his dear younger brother Bill Brownstone in NYC, and his loving wife, Madeline. A celebration of Peter's life is planned for September 24th in Chicago. In lieu of flowers, please vote for representatives who truly support fairness and tolerance of our differences, and share your generosity by supporting like-minded charities.
