The Nora Family does not know me. I was a friend of Paul's while attending Rosary College (Dominican University)in 1952-53. He was in his last two years of med. school and also working at the Chicago Stock Yards. I will never forget his enthusiam and dedication to his aspired med. profession. He was in awe of his brothers and sisters and his parents. I also remember that he was able to accomplish in one day what most people took a week to do. We went our separate ways but I many times thought of his sense of humor and his energy. It is strange that just recently he has been on my mind. I was saddened to read that he had passed away. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. I know that God has reserved a special place for Paul. Sincerely, Joanne Stiglitz O'Connor, West Chester, PA

Paul was a great friend and I have many wonderful memories of him. He was thoughtful, gentle, and funny. I will never forget his favorite overture to a topic "Can I ask you something". This meant a great tease was about to begin.
I loved this guy.

As a Columbus Hospital School of Nursing graduate, class of 1970, I have very fond memories of my student days and the additional years spent in the ER/OPD. The Nora brothers were a big part of every single day. Ernest Jr, Gerald, Joe and Paul contributed so much to everyone at the 3 C's. They were part of an exceptional family and I am proud to have studied and worked with each and every one of them. God Bless.

It was such an honor to have known such an extraordinary SURGEON! He taught me so much from life lessons to patient safety. If there is ONE thing I treasured most about him, it was that he was such a genuine FRIEND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, BROTHER, UNCLE, MENTOR, COLLEAGUE & BOSS! I will truly treasure ALL the laughs, lectures and memories we shared over these four years!
Dr. Nora you have inspired me in so many ways and I only wish I could have told you more often, but do know I will return to school for my BSN to better my nursing career, so be sure to send the rain when I start to get overwhelmed =)
Also, knowing you are up there makes me feel a little ad ease that when the Senior Chief returns overseas you will be there watching over him! I’m sure he would be honored to have an Angel as you watching over a fellow Navy man.
Dr. Nora you will truly be missed by my family and I! The girls said that each time they eat Macaroni & Cheese they will always think of you & say a prayer! xoxo
My deepest condolences, prayers and love to the family, you too have touched my heart and I hope to continue that bond!
Love Always & Forever,

My deepest sympathy to the Nora family. Your father Paul, Grandfather Ernest, and all your uncles were wonderful physicians. I came to know them when I worked at Columbus Hospital in the late 50's.and 60's. Dr. Ernest Sr. was my cardiologist when I was 7yrs. old. I am now 71. The Nora's leave a legacy of a family dedicated to medicine.
My prayers are with you.

I have known Dr. Nora since I was a medical student over thirty years ago and will always remember him as a wonderful teacher, a true gentleman, and an outstanding example of what it means to be a physician. I am saddened to see him go but will always treasure having known him.
