My deepest sympathies are extended to the entire Newey family. As Chief Investigator of the Chicago Crime Commission, I found in Paul a kinship and support system unmatched. It was a pleasure and honor to have known him and worked with him. The Newey family must celebrate the life of an outstanding man and public servant.

Our thoughts and blessings are with the Newey family this evening. It has been our pleasure to have Paul as part of our lives, through his son Paul S., our best friend. We won't forget Paul and Vi for their generous hospitality and facinating late night recounting of Chicago politics in the 50's and 60's. We thank and remember both of them for themselves and their caring sons, Paul, Arthur, Davis and Dean.

I was the youngest Chicago Police Officer in the State's Atty's Off. when Paul was Chief. I have had the pleasure of knowing him, being his friend, and learning from him for over 40 years. He will be missed, and, he will be in my prayers.
